Summer in your bathroom

Het weer mag dan wispelturig zijn, met de juiste beautyproducten tover je om het even wanneer een zomerse gloed of een zomers geurtje op je huid, krijgt je humeur meteen een serieuze boost en maak je het net wat tropischer in je badkamer.

Care Shower Love Sunshine van Nivea (€ 2,99)

De heerlijke vakantiegeur van Niveazonnecrème in een verzorgende douchegel met aloë vera en glycerine. (Er zit ook wel SLS in de formule, maar de glycerine zou het uitdrogende effect daarvan moeten counteren.)

L’Eau Tan van Chanel (€ 56, nu al op de e-shop, vanaf 15 mei in de parfumerie)

Het Franse huis doet selftan op zijn eigen unieke chique manier: als een verfrissende body mist die je over je huid sprayt en mooi uitsmeert. L’Eau Tan is geïnspireerd op L’Huile Tan, de zelfbruiner die Coco Chanel in 1932 uitbracht en moet je huid hydrateren, haar een zacht kleurtje bezorgen en haar lekker fris doen ruiken.

Maracuja Botanical Scrub (limited edition) van Yves Rocher (€ 4,95)

Maak je huid zacht en glad voor je met zelfbruiner aan de slag gaat met deze limited edition-scrub met een plantaardig, peelend poeder. Die ruikt fruitig fris en exotisch dankzij passievruchtextract. De formule is voor 92% plantaardig, de ecotube bestaat uit 25% minder plastic dan een doorsnee tube van het merk.

Bronze & Glow in 01 It’s Time to Glow van Lancôme (€ 52, bij Galeria Inno)

Een lekker groot zonnepoeder dat je ook als blush en/of highlighter kan gebruiken.

Le jour se lève van Louis Vuitton (€ voor 100 ml)

Een nieuwe olfactorische reis van het luxehuis. Meester-Parfumeur Jacques Cavallier Belletrud wilde met het achtste parfum van Louis Vuitton het ontwaken van de dag vangen in een geur en koos daarom zonovergoten mandarijn, gecombineerd met sambacjasmijn, zwarte bes, een vleugje wierook en muskus. Dit parfum ruikt fris, delicaat en zacht. (Wel een tikje jammer dat de geur maar een paar uur op je huid blijft hangen.)

Terracotta Rêve d’été Tinted Skincare Jelly van Guerlain (€ 43)

Guerlain weet met zijn Terracottalijn als geen ander hoe je een zongekuste teint moet faken. Deze getinte crème gebruik je an sich (ze bevat verzorgende bestanddelen) of over je gebruikelijke dagcrème om je teint een natuurlijk, zacht kleurtje te geven. Ideaal op de eerste zonnige dagen.

The French fashion house does selftan in its own unique and chic way: it created a refreshing body mist, inspired by L’Huile Tan, the selftan product Coco Chanel launched in 1932. It promises to hydrate skin, create a soft tan and leave behind a fresh scent.

Make sure your skin is soft and smooth before you get handy wit selftan. This limited edition scrub with a botanical peeling powder smells fruity fresh and exotic (thanks, passion fruit extract). The formula is 92% natural and the packaging uses 25% less plastic than a regular one from the brand.

Bronze & Glow in 01 It’s Time to Glow, Lancôme (52 €)

This big and bold bronzing powder can be used as a blush and/or highlighter, too and creates a glamorous glow.

Master-Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created a new olfactory journey for the fashion house. He wanted to catch the dawn of day in a scent and chose sun drenched tangerine to do so. He combined the fruit with sambac jasmin, black currant, a hint of incense and some musk. The fragrance is fresh, delicate and soft, not as zesty as you might expect from a scent with citrus. (It is a tad disappointing the scent only lingers on your skin for a couple of hours.)

Terracotta Rêve d’été Tinted Skincare Jelly, Guerlain (43 €)

Guerlain knows how to fake a sun-kissed glow with its Terracotta range. This tinted jelly contains nourishing ingredients, so you can use it on its own or over your daily day cream to give your skin a natural, soft tan. Ideal for the first sunny days.
