Goede beautyproducten hoeven echt geen aanslag op je bankrekening te zijn. Deze beauty bargain is budgetvriendelijk, gewoon goed en betekent meer geld op de ‘Ooit koop ik een Kelly van Hermès’-spaarrekening.

Handig om mee te nemen op vakantie of om in een pendelmake-uptasje te stoppen, dit plaatsbesparende oogschaduwduo dat een metallic tint met een matte combineert. Ik testte het duo Shell & Brown, een rozige nude metallic tint die het groen in mijn ogen beter naar boven brengt en een matbruine. (Ik ben helemaal fan van de eerste, het bruin is eenvoudigweg bruin. Niets mis mee, maar apart zou ik de tint niet kopen.)
Die Long Lasting mag je letterlijk nemen: de kleuren overleefden een geblinddoekte perslunch (ja, geblinddoekt) en een zweterig concert probleemloos. Zonder vervagen of in de oogplooi te kruipen.
Een oogshaduwborstel is niet nodig, wat het duo erg pendel- en make-updummievriendelijk maakt: ik breng de formule aan met het staafje, met weinig product kom je ver, en vervaag ze dan met een vinger. Wie graag zo licht mogelijk reist: de matte oogschaduw gebruikte ik ook al als eyeliner, maar een heel fijn lijntje kan je niet trekken. Daarvoor is het borsteltje te dik.
Net geen 5 euro per tint is niet slecht, maar het kan beter: momenteel krijg je 30% korting op de Sicilian Notes-collectie, dus ook op dit duo. De vijf andere duo’s zien er trouwens ook mooi uit.

This eyeshadow duo – a metallic and a matte one – is handy to take with you on holidays or as part of your commute make-up bag. I tested the Shell & Brown duo, a pinky nude metallic that brought out the green in my eyes and a matte brown. (I love the former, the latter is just a plain brown, nothing wrong with it, nothing exceptional either.) They survived a blindfolded press lunch – yes, blindfolded – and a sweaty concert without any fading or creasing. Exactly what you expect form a long lasting formula.
This is a perfect commute and/or make-up dummy proof product: I apply the formula with the stick – a little goes a long way – and fade it with a finger, no brush needed. If you like to travel/commute with few products: I have used the matte eyeshadow as an eyeliner as well, you just cannot create a very thin line with it.
Just under € 5 for a good quality eyeshadow is not that bad but it gets even better: there currently is a 30% discount on the Sicilian Notes collection this duo is part of. And the five other duos look pretty too.
