Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Concealer van Shiseido, 35 euro
Eén van de beste concealers die ik ooit heb getest. Je kan de dekking makkelijk opbouwen, de formule kruipt niet in lijntjes, blendt mooi met de huid, blijft lang zitten, (zelfs zonder afpoederen) en camoufleert donkere kringen, puistjes, roodheden en andere mankementjes. Uitwerken met vingers gaat goed, maar Shiseido introduceerde ook een érg goed concealerpenseel.
Rouge Graphist Intense Colour Lipstick Pencil in Draw It van Dior, 37,89 euro
Matte finish, handig om lippen in te kleuren, lange houdbaarheid en een formule die je niet voelt zitten: Dior stopte een érg goed jumbopotlood in zijn herfstcollectie Power Look. Zonder parfum warempel. Draw It is de meest herfstige kleur van de vier tinten, een diep bordeauxrood. Trendy, maar tijdloos. Erg mooi in een verder nude gezicht, (komt de Shiseidoconcealer meteen van pas om roodheden en donkere kringen te camoufleren), of met een bruine of koperkleurige blik.
Ombre Première Top Coat in 327 Pénombre van Chanel, 35 euro
Toegegeven, een glittertopcoat voor je ogen is niet het meest onmisbare make-upproduct in je badkamer, maar het is wel een volwassen versie van de glittertrend die nog steeds populair is op de catwalk. Je kan deze limited edition aanbrengen over je gebruikelijke oogmake-up om die wat meer peps te geven, om een smokey eye wat minder dramatisch te maken of op een naakte huid voor een subtiel glansspel. Dit is de gouden versie, aangeraden voor meer donkere tinten, de zilveren Carte Blanche combineer je met lichtere kleuren oogschaduw, maar vind ik persoonlijk niet zo mooi om an sich te gebruiken.

You can easily build up the coverage without the formula ever going cakey, it does not gather in fine lines, blends perfectly into skin, stays put a very long time even without setting powder and it covers dark circles, pimples, redness and other things you’d rather keep from the outside world. You can blend it with your fingers but the new concealer brush Shiseido launched is amazing and very easy to use. Great for the all natural nude.

And no fragrance to boot. Draw It is the most autumn colour of the four colours in the collection: it’s a deep, warm wine stained your lips but better colour, which is trendy but timeless. Very pretty in a nude face (just use the Shiseido concealer to cover up red patches and dark circles) or brown or coppery eye make-up.

A glitter topcoat for your eyes might not be the most essential item of make-up in your bathroom but it is an adult way to play with the glitter trend that is still popular on the catwalk. You can apply this limited edition on top of your regular eye make-up to give it a bit more sparkle and light or add it on top of a smokey eye to make it a bit less dramatic. Or you simply use it on naked skin to add some glitter to your life. This is the golden version, which works well on top of darker colours. The silvery Carte Blanche works well on top of lighter shades of eyeshadow but I personally would not wear it on its own.
