Gestifte lippen en een mondmasker zijn niet de beste combinatie, maar het kan wél. Deze twee lipsticks blijven alvast érg goed zitten.

Verplicht een mondmasker dragen heeft de drang om je lippen te stiften voor een groot stuk weggenomen, maar je hoeft hem niet helemaal op te geven. Langhoudende formules overleven niet alleen een latte, diner en een zoen, ze zorgen er ook voor dat je met je mondmasker op kan arriveren op restaurant en het kan uitdoen aan tafel zonder dat je lippenstift overal op je gezicht (en masker) zit behalve op je lippen.
Er bestaan ongetwijfeld nog andere longwear formules die perfect onder een masker kunnen, maar deze twee zijn vrij van parfum en door mij getest en goedgekeurd. Goed om weten: er zal een béétje van de formule afgaan op je masker, dat kan ook haast niet anders door de constante wrijving van de stof met je huid, maar 95% ervan blijft gewoon op je lippen zitten. Dus géén vervaagde kleur bij het aperitief, noch bij het dessert.

Ik weet het, dit is niet zo’n budgetvriendelijke lippenstift. Maar wat mij betreft is ze wel de investering waard. De vloeibare formule droogt op de lippen op tot een je voelt ze niet zitten, volle kleur en is dan zo langhoudend dat er nog steeds resten van op je mond zitten de dag nadat je ze hebt weggehaald met een cleanser op oliebasis. (Toch wat de felle kleuren betreft.) Héél gepigmenteerd dus. De kleuren van Armani doen je gezicht op de een of andere manier bovendien altijd stralen. De puntvormige applicator maakt het erg makkelijk om je lippen in te kleuren en je cupidoboog mooi aan te zetten. En nummer 500 Maharajah (de fuchsia tint) is misschien wel mijn favoriete lipstickkleur allertijden.
Het enige minpuntje: dit is niet de meest voedende formule, maar dat is doorsnee het geval bij langhoudende formules. De oplossing: je kan perfect lippenbalsem over de kleur aanbrengen, mochten je lippen droog zijn, zonder uitloopgevaar.
Lipfinity Lip Colour Limited Edition in Starglow en Starstruck van Max Factor, € 17,99.
Lipfinity werkt in twee stappen: je brengt eerst de kleur aan, laat die volledig opdrogen (met je mond wat open om vlekken te voorkomen) en brengt daarover de glanzende topcoat aan die voedende bestanddelen bevat en je lippen comfortabel doet aanvoelen. (Enkel de kleur dragen kan wat stroef aanvoelen.)
Starglow is mijn soort nude: rozig met een 60’s Brigitte Bardot-vibe, Starstruck is een soort roestig roze (als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel). Deze kleuren zijn limited edition, maar er is ook een permanente collectie.
Prijs-kwaliteit is Lipfinity érg goed. Een drankje of twee en diner zonder touch-up lukken mij perfect zonder te hoeven bijwerken. De kleur is bovendien niet zo hardnekkig als die van Armani, ze verdwijnt dus volledig met een goede reiniger.

Lipstick and a face mask CAN be a good match if you choose the right formula. These two lipsticks stay on your lips for hours, even when shopping with a face mask.
Wearing a face mask has taken away most of the fun of wearing lipstick but you need not give up on it. Long-wear formulas do not only survive a latte, dinner and a kiss, they also make sure you can arrive at a restaurant with hot red lipstick that is still on your lips, not smeared around your mouth, when you take off your mask once you’re seated.
I am sure there are other long wearing formulas by other brands that stay perfectly put under a face mask but these two are fragrance-free and have been tested by me. Good to know: there will probably always be a hint of long-wear lipstick on the inside fabric of your face mask – there is just too much constant friction between the fabric and your lips/skin – but 95% of it will remain on your lips. So no need to worry about a faded colour when you get your apéritif maison, nor when you have had dessert.

I know this one is not that budget friendly but oh my is it worth the investment. The liquid formula dries on your lips into a long wearing you barely feel it is there full-on colour that is so long lasting that there is still some colour left the day after you took the lipstick off with an oil based cleanser. It is véry pigmented. Armani’s colours always are vibrant, making your face look all healthy. (Number 500 Maharajah (the fuchsia one) might be my favourite lipstick colour of all times.) The pointed applicator makes it easy to draw in the cupid’s bow and apply the formula perfectly.
The only (tiny) downside: this is not the most nourishing formula but that is almost always the case with long-wearing lipsticks. You can, however, put some lip balm on top of it if you have dry lips without the colour fading or running out.

Lipfinity works in two steps: first, you apply the colour, let it dry completely (keep your mouth slightly open so the colour will not stain). Then, you apply the transparant glossy topcoat that keeps your lips feeling nourished and comfortable. (Without it, the colour can make them feel a bit dry.)
Starglow is my kind of nude: pinkish with a bit of a 60’s Brigitte Bardot vibe going on. Starstruck is a kind of rusty pink (if that makes any sense to you). These colours are limited edition but there is of course a permanent collection to choose from as well.
I can have a couple of drinks and dinner without needing a touch-up. The pigment is not as hardcore as Armani’s, meaning you will swipe everything off with a good cleanser.
