Geen parfum of aroma, wél volop kleur met deze zeven lipsticks. Omdat je lippen niet altijd naar vanille, watermeloen of aardbeisnoepjes moeten ruiken.

Mijn artikels over parfumloze lippenstiften behoren tot mijn best gelezen blogposts, iets zegt me dus dat ik niet de enige ben die parfum en aroma moet/wil mijden, maar daarom nog niet met onopgemaakte lippen door het leven wil. Daarom: zeven (semi)nieuwkomers die één ding gemeenschappelijk hebben: een rijke kleur.

Hello Printemps Lip & Cheek Crayon in Nude (limited edition) van Yves Rocher, € 8,95.
Op de foto zie je de My Green Summer-editie van vorige zomer, maar deze lente stopte Yves Rocher opnieuw chubby lip-en wangpotloden in zijn gamma in gelijkaardige kleuren. Die zijn rijk gepigmenteerd, voelen comfortabel op de lippen en kan je met je vingers uitwerken tot een blush op je wangen. Tip: als je de kleur té vol vindt, kan je wat op je vinger aanbrengen en die zacht over je lippen wrijven voor een stain-effect.
Lip Lingerie in French Maid van NYX, € 8,90.
Een tip voor wie allergisch is aan parfumbestanddelen: veel vloeibare lipsticks bevatten geen parfum of aroma. (Check mijn vorige posts voor andere voorbeelden.) Hun formules blijven bovendien doorsnee érg goed zitten. Deze paarsige nude (uit de NYX-adventskalender van vorig jaar) droogt snel op en belooft de hele dag mooi te blijven zitten. Ik moet hem zelf nog testen, maar Lip Lingerie heeft alvast een schare trouwe fans.
Joli Rouge Crayon in 757c Nude Brick van Clarins, € 22.
De punt van deze nieuwkomer in het lipstickgamma van Clarins is fijn genoeg om eerst je lipcontour aan te zetten en daarna je lippen in te kleuren. (Er zit een ingebouwde scherper in het uiteinde van het potlood.) De finish is mat, de kleur intens, de formule comfortabel. Beschikbaar in vier kleuren.
LipLiner InkDuo in 08 True Red van Shiseido, € 26.
Shiseido stelt weer niet teleur met deze nieuwe lipmake-up (ik ben grote fan van zijn lipsticks en make-up in het algemeen): aan de ene kant zit een transparante balsem die als primer dient om je lippen glad te maken, aan de andere zit een lippotlood waarmee je je lipcontouren aanzet, maar waarmee je ook makkelijk je lip kan inkleuren. Er kan daarna nog lipstick over, maar dat hoeft niet. De formule blijft goed zitten (het merk belooft acht uur) en voelt comfortabel aan. Beschikbaar in 12 tinten.
Velvet Lip Perfector in 02 Velvet Rosewood van Clarins, € 19.
De glossy, transparante, geparfumeerde klassieker van Clarins kreeg een broertje: die is fluwelig mat (ik vind dit niet uit, zo omschrijft het merk hem), blijft lang zitten, maakt de lippen glad en voelt licht aan. Mijn beautycollega Sofie Albrecht (check haar blog Café Cosmetique) testte hem al en vindt hem naturel en comfortabel. Kiezen uit vier kleuren.
Lipfinity in Hot van Max Factor, € 17,99.
Kleur die blijft in twee stappen: eerst de gekleurde, vloeibare formule aanbrengen en laten opdrogen (met je mond open!), daarover komt de transparante topcoat met ondermeer zonnebloemolie en bijenwas die voor glans zorgt en vocht in de lippen belooft te houden. Dit is één van die langhoudende lipsticks die zo goed houdt dat je, nadat je je make-up hebt verwijderd, nog steeds kleur op je lip gestencild ziet. Handig voor een belangrijk event, wanneer je wil dat je mond perfect opgemaakt blijft. Goed om weten: deze blijft voor lipstick érg lang goed na openen: de kleur 24 maanden, de balsem 30.
(Nieuw is Lipfinity niet, maar ik had hem nog niet vermeld.)
Matte Lipstick Mighty Matte in Classy van Le Papier, € 13,95, in de apotheek
Een matte, rijke kleur in een potlood dat je simpelweg afpelt gaandeweg je gebruik. Geen (plastic) afval dus. En het kartonnen doosje en de papieren wikkel zijn afkomstig van duurzaam beheerde Scandinavische bossen. Voor de groenfans: dit is een natuurlijke, vegan formule met kokos-, amandel- en zonnebloempitolie en karitéboter.

No fragrance, no aroma and full-on colour. These seven lipsticks prove your lips need not smell of vanilla, watermelon or strawberry to look good.
My articles on fragrance-free lipsticks are two of the most read blogposts I have written so far. So something tells me I am not the only one who has/wants to avoid fragrance or aroma but does not want to go through life without a pretty colour on her/his lips. Which is why I will keep on adding posts with new or newly discovered fragrance-, aroma- and essential oil-free lip make-up. Like these seven.

Hello Printemps Lip & Cheek Crayon in Nude (limited edition) by Yves Rocher, 8,95 €.
In the picture you see last year’s My Green Summer edition but Yves Rocher launched new limited edition chubby lip and cheek crayons in similar colours this spring. They are richly pigmented, feel comfortable on the lips and can be used as a blush by blending the colour into the cheeks. Tip: if you think the colour is too full-on for you, try applying some with your finger and smudging it into lips for a stained effect.
NYX’s Lip Lingerie in French Maid, 8,90 €.
You are allergic to fragrance but still want to wear lipstick? A lot of liquid ones are fragrance- and aroma-free. (Check my previous posts.) Their formulas stay put for a very long time to boot. This nude colour with a hint of mauve (from last year’s NYX advent calendar) dries quickly and promises to stay pretty all day long. I still have to test it but Lip Lingerie has quite a big army of loyal fans.

The tip of this lip crayon is thin enough to easily use it as a lip pencil before colouring in your lips. (There is a built-in sharpener at the end of the pencil so you can keep the tip sharp at all times.) The finish is matte, the colour intense, the formula comfortable. Available in 4 colours.
LipLiner InkDuo in 08 True Red by Shiseido, 26 €.
Shiseido yet again does not disappoint with this new addition to its lipstick collection. (I love its lip products and make-up in general.) This duo combines a transparant balm that you use as a primer and leaves lips feeling smooth and nourished with a lip pencil to line your lips and colour them in. You could use a lipstick on top of that but I do not think that is necessary. The formula stays put well (the brand promises 8 hours) and feels comfortable. Available in 12 colours.
Velvet Lip Perfector in 02 Velvet Rosewood by Clarins, 19 €.
The glossy, transparent, fragranced Clarins classic has a little sister that combines velvety-matte colour with a long-lasting, ultra light formula that feels comfortable and smoothes the lips. My beauty colleague Sofie Albrecht already tested it and approves: she thinks it leaves lips looking natural and the formula feels comfortable. There are 4 colours to choose from.
Lipfinity in Hot by Max Factor, 17,99 €.
Colour that does not budge: first, you apply the liquid coloured formula and let it dry completely (keep your mouth open!). Then you apply the transparant topcoat on top: it has a shiny finish and promises to keep moisture locked in lips. This is one of those long-lasting lipsticks that are almost too good at their job: the colour sticks so well to lips that you might still have a stain after taking it off with a good cleanser. Handy if you have an important event for which you want perfect lips you need not worry about when sipping champagne. Good to know: this lip duo can be used for a pretty long time once opened: the colour formula for 24 months, the topcoat for 30.
Matte Lipstick Mighty Matte in Classy by Le Papier, 13,95 €.
Matte, rich colour in an environment-friendly crayon: you simply peel off the paper wrapper when you need more lipstick. No (plastic) waste whatsoever. And the cardboard box and paper wrap are made of sustainably managed Scandinavian forests. For the green skincare lovers: this is a natural, vegan formula with nourishing coconut, sweet almond and sunflower oil and shea butter.
